- Day Two - Yarmouth, NS to Bridgewater, NS |
<Home

Clean, modern lounge on the "Cat" (high-speed ferry between Bar
Harbor, ME and Yarmouth, NS, CA.

For all the morons with time and money to waste. Just an opinion.

Four 9500HP diesel turbine engines idle us out of harbor.

It's like a jet ski - but it holds 900 people and 250 cars and travels the
open ocean on hydrofoils at 55mph. Weehah!

Alicia checks out Yarmouth, NS light upon entering their harbor.

Lobsterman holds up his catch in promotional bid.

Canadian Customs. We got profiled and searched! You knew they weren't
going to stick their hands in the preceding car's luggage.

Up the Atlantic coast a way, we take an old road and find a
lighthouse and some abandoned boats.

This gull found it, too.

A little further - an omen. We stopped to stretch and saw nice
driftwood, a lighthouse and, OOOOH, a bald eagle!

This dog was as happy to be on Beach Meadows beach as we were.

That popping seaweed in a couple inches of water.

Gastropod and trail.

Alicia runs blithely along precipitous rocks.

Never a dull rock.

Lost for the first of many times, we chance upon this pristine gem at
Port Medway.
