Apple pickin' time in Hancock, NH
October 25, 2003

A couple of light frosts made these as sweet as candy.

Some trees, like this Red Delicious, were so laden with fruit
that the boughs bent to the ground.

One of the best years for apples; drops cover the ground.

Frost hides on the dark side.

Apple ponders his fallen comrades. Sad, very sad.

Old apple farmers never die; they just turn sour.

In crates, Cortlands wait to be bagged for sale.

Classy lady takes pride in each apple.

"An awful lot of folks love my apples."
