9˚ F, -15˚ F (WCF), it's durn cold.

Branches over road.

Of course, the the drama unfolds as my zoom motors are frozen; not to mention frozen, weak batteries that make the camera shut down. A Great Horned Owl is causing a commotion near the stream and rises with a mink in its talons. Luckily, the owl chose to light on a birch snag in view. You can see the mink to the right of the stump in some of the shots.

We are both covered in snow blowing from the branches.

Head-spinning.
